The Science department held a Pop-up Science session for students from Years 7-9 on Thursday lunchtime.

As Halloween is coming up soon, the theme for the session was Spooky Science and activities on offer included¬† pyramid hologram projectors for tablets/phones, squealing balloons, Slimer-worthy slime, a cornflour based non-Newtonian fluid and the ever-popular van de Graaff generator, (which even made Mr Parry’s hair stand on end!!)

Dr Wilson was on safety glasses hand-out duty!

The session was especially popular with Year 7 students.

A HUGE thank you goes to Mrs Dell for organising the session.

Watch out for the next session, coming to a Lab near you soon!

Until next time, Keep calm and apply some Science!
